"JUDE" WITH GINKGO Standard by 80s Reproduced Denim

KYOU定番のテーパードデニム"JUDE"生地にはリーバイス社が赤耳から耳なしに移行した80年代後半に生産された通称【ハチマル】のタイプをリプロダクトした生地を採用。

 

コレクションのコンセプトと時代背景がマッチングした素材で加工によるシボ感、アタリが出やすいデニム生地。

モチーフのイチョウはデザイナー自身がアメリカで過ごした原体験、感銘を受けた土地には必ずと言って色づくイチョウの木、色づき枯れ果てていく葉が景色の一部としてあったことから採用した。

刺繍は国内でも有数の刺繍工場で加工し、糸と糸が橋渡しのようにつながっている独特のフリンジ刺繍を用いている。

 

刺繍の際に運針のピッチを長くしたものを並べ、その部分の裏の糸を後から切り取ることで表の糸がフリンジ状になり裏の糸を切り取った時に表の糸が抜けたりほどけたりしない仕様になっている。

KYOU's standard tapered denim "JUDE" is made of a reproduction of the "Hachimaru" type of denim produced by Levi's in the late 80's when the company shifted from red to earless denim.

 

This denim fabric is a material that matches the concept of the collection and the background of the times, and has a grainy feel due to the processing and is easy to get a bite.

The ginkgo tree motif is based on the designer's own experiences in the United States, where he was impressed by the color of ginkgo trees and the leaves that change color and wither as part of the scenery.

The embroidery was done at one of the best embroidery factories in Japan, using a unique fringe embroidery technique in which the threads are connected to each other like a bridge.

 

The threads on the back of the embroidery are cut off later, so that the threads on the front are fringed and the threads on the back will not come loose or unravel when the back is cut off.
